The Town of Watertown is calling for sealed bids for surplus equipment no longer of use to the town.

Bid #3 1996 International Single Axle Dump Truck with plow and wings with 101,560 miles

Bid #7 1986 John Deere 318 Lawn Tractor with mower deck, snowblower and soft side cab

- All bids shall be received at the Town Clerk’s office, 22867 Brookside Drive, Watertown, NY until 2 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2026.
- All bids shall be sealed and marked with equipment bid number.
- All bids shall include a non collusion statement.
- Said equipment is sold on an as-is basis, without warranty.
- Bids will be opened and reviewed by the Highway Superintendent and Town Supervisor at 3 p.m. at the Town Offices on October 22, 2026.
- A ranking of bids and bid evaluation shall be submitted to the Town Board at its regular meeting.
- The Town Board retains the right to accept or deny any or all bids submitted.

RESOLUTION 39 of 2026
Potential Sale of Vacant Real Property
County Route 61
WHEREAS, the Town of Watertown, New York is the owner in fee of a vacant parcel of land consisting of approximately 12± acres and which is located in the Town of Hounsfield, New York and has an address of County Route 61 (the “Subject Property”); and
WHEREAS, the Subject Property was acquired by the Town of Watertown and is more particularly identified as Tax Parcel No.: 82.14-1-21.4; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has deliberated and determined that the Subject Property is unwanted, unneeded real property and is not necessary for any current or anticipated Town of Watertown use or purpose but might be suitable for potential development and/or use by others; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Watertown desires to generate some revenue for the Town and to return the Subject Property to productive use and/or development by others; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board proposes to advertise the Subject Property for sale upon such terms and conditions as might be reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Board of the Town of Watertown that:
- The above recitations are incorporated herein as if set forth hereafter.
- The Clerk shall advertise by the following means of the Watertown Daily Times that the Subject Property is for sale to any interested party by sealed bids which must be received by the Town Clerk of Watertown, 22867 Brookside Drive on or before October 29, 2026 at 2:00 pm
- The Subject Property shall be sold “AS IS” by quitclaim deed with a lien search (no abstract).
- The purchase price shall be in U.S. Funds payable at closing.
- The purchaser is responsible for all costs, disbursements and recording charges associated with the conveyance.
- The Subject Property may be surveyed at the expense of the would-be purchaser, if interested.
- The Parties shall be responsible for their respective attorneys’ fees.
- The Town Board shall open, review, and evaluate any offers at its regularly scheduled meeting on November 5, 2026.
- The Town Board reserves the right to reject any offer and the acceptance and selection of an offer shall be memorialized by Resolution subject to Permissive Referendum.
- This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
- BIDS SHOULD BE LABELED “PROPERTY SALE CO RTE 61”
